19 What is the difference between hand caning and                                     press caning?

19: Hand Caning has holes drilled in the wood of the chair. Each hole is counted in order to calculate a cost

19: Press Caning or machine cane has a grove into the wood of the seat, into which the caning is overlade and a wood spline is put in place to hold the caning.  To calculate cost,  measure on the diagonal  ( left- back to right-front) and this number will be used to determine the final cost.
